Our B&B is in Arnoia in the Ribeiro region, a Galician region in the province of Orense, in Galicia. Ribeiro (Ribero wine) means "river bank" in Galician and is one of the five denominations of origin of existing wines in Galicia. Arnoia is bathed by two important rivers, the Arnoia River and the Miño River, and is bordered by the mountains that surround the valley where the two rivers flow. Both the rivers and the mountains allow recreational and sports activities. In the waters of La Peña you can practice rafting and canoeing. In the Peña itself and in the recreational areas of Inquiau and Poldras there are areas suitable for swimming that are not very dangerous. In the hills and mountains there are signposted trails with guidance brochures, with various distances and difficulties. Some sections are also suitable for mountain bikes. One of the main characteristics of this area and of the province of Ourense in general is the presence of natural spas for more than two thousand years. There are private thermal facilities (Termas Prexigueiro totally natural and Arnoia Caldaria Hotel Balneario), but there are also many free thermal baths.
